Setting-up an IT Services Catalogue for a Corporate Healthcare Group

In this industry research project, we supported the central facility management unit of a corporate healthcare group in introducing IT service management. To this end, we analysed the IT demand of the healthcare group and proposed a portfolio of IT services to meet this demand.

We also specified core IT services to be offered to the healthcare organizations within the group in detail, to check the practicability and market viability of the services. Regarding practicability, we assessed the capability of the IT organization to provide these IT services cost-effectively and reliably. Regarding market viability, we checked with the customer organizations as to whether our service specifications met their needs and expectations. An additional aspect of both practicability and market viability was the price customers were willing to pay for the service. Hence, we made recommendations on how to measure the costs related to the IT services defined and how to calculate market prices.
